one sweet women

Today on hippie hill on what was a nice day turned suddenly cold and cloudy (great weather to study the Nordic pantheon).  After a while reading and writing things down I noticed this women getting down by the drum circle with a large wheelchair.  A women got out of her wheelchair, very old and in ill health.  I was immediately piqued watching her, barefoot, putting on a shawl and slowly going into the midst of the drum circle and started dancing.  She danced for a minute then went back to her wheelchair.  she returned with a rose which held as though in a prayer.  After some time she went back to her wheelchair and grabbed her walking cane, and started down the road.  I knew i had to tell her something.  I gathered up my things and followed her down a trail where she had gone.  when i approached I said, "Excuse me." This sweet old lady turned to me and said, "yes?"  For the first time I could see her up close her tender eyes and smile, and the soul of an old sweet women.  Across her forehead was a headband of flowers that went around her head .  I said, "I wanted to thank you for dancing."  At which she said thanked me, and we parted ways.

In the Art of Manholes...

"An urban legend claims that a manhole cover was accidentally launched from its shaft during an underground nuclear test in the 1950s, at great enough speed to leave the solar system. The story is based on a real incident in August 27, 1957 during the Operation Plumbbob nuclear tests, where a heavy steel plate cap was blasted off the test shaft at tremendous velocity, never to be seen again. It is not known if it actually left the atmosphere."

It was at Burning Man

I laid down, with my unicursal casting, vial of potion, and runes hung around my neck.  A women lying close by in a playa camp.  She cast her eyes at me and asked me, what are you wearing around your neck.  I replied, "The unicursal casting is a symbol of my Love to my guardian angel.  The potion is a magick spell meant to make any wish come true, and the runes are as I am... Hagalz, Aiwass, Mannaz, Ansuz, Fehu".  She snaked closer as I spoke, "I am a Magician, I conjure the forces of Magcik for the benefit of all sentient beings."  The desert heat was overpowering, blinding, he said to himself, "I don't know what it all means, but thats not all that it means. "  And it was at that point that the vision went white.

James Bond Stockdale

I found the occult roots of James Bond by accident tonight.  He's the real deal though.  James Bond Stockdale was the highest ranking POW officer in Vietnam.  He was captured when his jet was shot down on one of the very first missions in Vietnam.  He was imprisoned in Vietnam for the length of seven years, repeatedly tortured, forced to solitary confinement for four years, forced to wear heavy chains for two years, and single handily inspired hundreds of American POW's to resist with a strategy called BACK U.S. which stood for

Never BOW in public
Stay off the AIR Never admit to CRIMES
Don't KISS them good-bye (Never thank them for anything)
US stood for Unity over Self

In a Jesus like act of defiance, he conduct an extended campaign of abusing himself almost to the point of death so as to make the Vietnamese treat the men better.  And it worked.  This guy knows about non violent resistance par excellence.  He then went on to become the highest decorated Navy official in the history of it's organization.  This is a picture of him jumping off his jet one week before he was captured:

How much magick have you made today?
